The Collaborative Theatre Co. and Fells Point Corner Theatre will develop and produce this world premiere production from one of Baltimore’s most prolific and celebrated writers, Mark Scharf.  Throughout the season, audiences will have the exclusive opportunity to gain insider access to the ‘page-to-stage’ workshopping of this new play. A special ticket price will include entry to 5 readings and working rehearsals throughout the process, as well as opening night!  

“The Quickening” tells the story of a young couple moving into their new home on the outskirts of Richmond.  Their new life is quickly disrupted by a ghost from the Civil War. The young, soon-to-be mother must find the courage to learn the truth and face the unknown to try to save her unborn child.
