FPCT Open auditions – (Your first and last name)
We are auditioning for the following shows:
She Stoops to Conquer by Oliver Goldsmith
November 22, 2019 – December 15, 2019
Directed by Barbara Madison Hauck and Lance Bankerd
The action of She Stoops to Conquer (1773) is largely confined to a night and a day in Squire Hardcastle's somewhat dilapidated country house. Young Marlow, on his way to meet the bride his father has chosen for him, arrives at the house and mistakes it for an inn. The prospect of meeting the genteel Miss Hardcastle terrifies the youngster; but the serving-girl Kate — in fact, Miss Hardcastle, who chooses not to clarify the misunderstanding — immediately catches his eye. After a series of trifling confusions and inevitable eavesdropping, all is resolved. An audience favorite for over 230 years.
Love and Information by Caryl Churchill
January 10, 2020 – February 2, 2020
Directed by Deirdre McAllister
Fells Point Corner Theatre brings one of Caryl Chuchill’s most ambitious works to its stage: Love and Information. Someone sneezes. Someone can’t get a signal. Someone won’t answer the door. Someone put an elephant on the stairs. Someone’s not ready to talk. Someone is her brother’s mother. Someone hates irrational numbers. Someone told the police. Someone got a message from the traffic light. Someone’s never felt like this before. A collage of thought and feeling in modern times.
The Mineola Twins by Paula Vogel
Running February 21, 2020 – March 15, 2020
Directed by Lindsey Barr
A comedy in six scenes, four dreams and seven wigs. There are two ways to produce this play: 1) with good wigs; or 2) with bad wigs. The second way is preferred. Myrna and Myra, almost identical twins, battle each other through the Eisenhower, Nixon and Reagan/Bush years over Virginity, Vietnam and Family Values. Vogel’s farce explores the divide in American politics and families through generations and hair pieces.
Again, to reserve an audition slot, please to email with your preferred audition time and a copy of your headshot and resume.
We look forward to seeing you!
