Finding Fossils is a story of settlement and acceptance between father
and son. After his mother’s death, Gus, a successful soap opera director,
attempts to reconcile with his father, Vince, a retired security guard.
Sparks fly and tempers flare as father and son attempt to come to terms
with each other. Ultimately, both learn a lesson in acceptance.

Ty DeMartino's plays have been performed from Connecticut (Life After
Pie) to California (Objects in the Mirror May Be Closer Than They Appear)
In 2004, he co-authored two satires He's No J.F.K., which ran Off-Broadway
at NYC's Kirk Theatre in Times Square, and Soap Scum for NJ's Spotlight
Theatre. His stage drama The Blessed Mothers of War was given a staged
reading at the 2005 Appalachian Festival of Plays and Playwrights in Abingdon,
Va., before receiving a full production at the 2007 Baltimore Playwright's
Festival. For his BPF show, Ty was named "Best Playwright" in
The City Paper's "Best of Baltimore, 2007" edition. He has also
been honored by the Maryland States Council with an Individual Artist
Award in Playwriting in both 2003 and 2007. Ty resides in Frostburg, Maryland
with his wife and twin eight year-old sons
Alexander D Carney holds an MFA in Directing from Mary Baldwin College,
an M.Litt. in Elizabethan and Renaissance Literature in Performance from
Mary Baldwin College and a BA in Theater from SUNY/Empire State College.
His production of Angels in America, Part II: Perestroika won several
local area awards in Baltimore through Broadwayworld.com for Best Direction
and Best Community Drama. Alex worked on the Broadway productions of Smokey
Joe’s Café, Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, and Hal Prince’s production
of Showboat. As an actor he has appeared Off-Broadway, Off-Off Broadway,
and regionally. Featured in the cast are Bobby De Angelo as Vince, Richard
Peck as Johnny, and Andy Kirtland as Gus.
